By car
From the north or south: Take the A22 motorway and exit at Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd. Follow the signs for Meran. Take the Sinigo/Sinich exit and at the second roundabout, take the first exit towards Maia Alta/Obermais. Continue for approximately 2 kilometres, passing the botanical gardens, and turn left into Obermais. After about 200 metres, turn right into Via Ivigna. Sonnenburg will be on your right.
From the west: Take the SS38 state road southwards through Val Venosta/Vinschgau towards Meran. Exit at Marlengo/Marling.38 Follow the signs for Maia Alta/Obermais and Scena/Schenna, passing the racecourse. As the road ascends through the villas of Obermais, look for a fuel station on your left and then turn left at the traffic lights into Via Ivigna. Sonnenburg is on your right.
Parking:
You can leave your car in the garage or the outdoor parking spaces. Of course, it’s included in your stay.
By train
Your next stop … Meran. All IC and EC trains stop in Bolzano. From the Bolzano main station, take the regional train to Meran. For a fee, we can arrange a pickup; please inform us of your arrival time in advance. Alternatively, you can take the local bus number 1 (towards Merano 2000). The journey by bus from the train station to the Sonnenburg takes only 15 minutes and the bus stop is just 200 metres away.
By plane
